Welcome to For All Intents and Purposes. I'm so glad you stopped by. In fact, I'm "much obliged, very much obliged" to see you here. Yes, for those of you who thought "this voice" sounded familiar, you were right. You know me as ole SjP. For those unfamiliar, feel free to jump on over to a spot near and dear to my heart, Sojourner's Place. 

Now, I truly loved blogging over at SjP's, but as time goes on we all evolve and as life gets often teaches us, there comes a time when you just have to move on. And that's what For All Intents and Purposes represents for me - an evolution requiring me to move on and forward. But, I suspect that ole SjP just might grace me every now and then with her voice every now and then when my voice is simply not enough.

So, to introduce myself to some and remind others, this For All Intents and Purposes is my commentary on life, the world around us, and the absurd...practically speaking. Here, I will be offer my opinion, ask the hard questions, and sometimes event rant or ramble. Because I have never been at a lost for words (or opinion), any and everyone venturing onto this site can be assured that I represent only myself and no other individuals, institutions, or organizations with whom I may be acquainted or affiliated. 

Now because I am a S-wAAAW (Strong-willed Alpha African American Woman) I am seldom at a lost for words or opinions. But there will, on occasion, when others may "hit the nail on the head with the head of the hammer" or posts something that is just so unbelievably strange or stupid that it may appear here. When that happens, have no fear as I will always give credit to and/or link to both brilliant and inane sources. Don't worry, I won't copyright your stuff as the law says that copyrights are owned by the original authors and I try to be a law abiding blogger. Fair warning, sometimes my Alzheimer's kicks in so if I forget to give you your props, just let me know and I'll correct my error. Just be nice! Cause you really don't want me to go there! And, please make sure you do the same as my stuff is PROTECTED BIG TIME!

Sometimes, I be using links to what I consider interesting. Hopefully the links will work by if they don't, remember, I am NOT responsible for the content of any website outside this blog.  Also, any tips, tricks or any information you find here is like the stuff you buy at a yard sale - sold as is. So you can't come back and sue me! Got to hold me harmless!

Finally, as I told you, I'm a SWAAAW meaning I reserve the right to change my mind. Hey! I might hear or see something that makes some sense. So what you read and see here is what I'm feeling on that day at that time. Remember, some days are better than others!
